Greetings all,

 I perform a fresh install of 7.04.01 from the zip file. configuration and setup go smooth and i can view the page.  When i change the IP binding of the site to the IP i need the DNN website to be listening on, i get the default IIS page when trying to browse to the DNN site.  There is the DNN logo in the tab, but the site is default IIS.  The OS is Server 2012 R2 SP1 with all latest patches.  Any help is appreciated as i would like to begin moving my existing installations as soon as possible.

Thanks;

Alex

You need to make sure, the new IP address (or domain name) is listed in PortalAlias table as (primary) domain name, easiest would be replacing existing IP value.

Just to add a little bit more, you can add the IP address as an entry in the PortalAlias table by going to Admin, Site Settings and adding a portal alias. This assumes that you can get to the site with its primary URL so that you can see the Site Settings page.

I took a look at the portal alias table and the FQDN's were listed properly.  As a test i stood up a 2008 R2 fully patched.  This install results in a page under construction message from IIS for both the primary portal and the secondary binding added to the site created.  The primary website is available from the webserver itself locally as i can see the site and make changes at that level.  Outside the webserver on the network is where the "under construction, no default page has been specified" error is occuring.

I have the websites in another directory different than the inetpub\wwwroot, is there a configuration change needed in order to make this work in that setup scenario?
