Hello,

I've donwloaded and started to work with DNN 3.3.2 but can't get it to compile. I keep getting the error Reference required to assembly 'DotNetNuke.WebUtility' containing the implemented interface 'DotnetNuke.UI.Utilities.IClientAPICallbackEventHandler' add one to your project.

The reference toDotNetNuke.Webutility is there and the project compiles by it's self but it doesn't look as if that interface is implemented anywhere.

I'm getting the error in Containers Title, Filemanager, ListEditor, Languageeditor, and twice in TreeviewMenu.

Can anyone tell me what I might be missing?  This is just straght, unchanged downloaded source from the downloads section.

Thanks,

Paul Davis

Sounds like your reference path is not pointing to the correct webutility dll.  Right click on your dotnetnuke project and choose properties.  Then choose the References tab.

Cool. it's all sorted now.  I was referencing the project and not the actual file.  I hate it when I don't get a good nights sleep.  :)

The reference path is set to c:\DotNetNuke\controls\DotNetNuke.WebUtility\bin in the DotNetNuke project.

I seem to be getting the error from the previously mentioned files under \dotnetnuke\admin and also the DNNMenuNavigationProvider.vb file under \DotNetNuke\Providers.  The reference path there is the same as above.

What should the reference path be? I've tried just about every combination I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks,

That reference path is correct and should work on all the projects that reference the webutility.  The DNNMenuNavigationProvider actually references the webcontrols, and should have its property set similar.

When in doubt remove the reference and re-add it.
