Hello,

I have a main DNN portal with several child portals.  I would like to allow users who register in the main portal or any child portal to be seamlessly logged in to the main portal and all child portals once they login.

I haven't dug into the code behind yet.  But I was wondering if this is as easy as commenting out a check for portal authorization, I.e.

(semi pseudocode)

SELECT user FROM users WHERE (userID/password are correct) AND (user is enabled) --comment out (AND portalId = #n)

Or, do I have to write a trigger on a table that assigns all portals to the user when the user signs up?

If there is another easier or more correct way, please let me know.

Thanks,

Chad

you will either need to use a 3rd party module or modify the core source code. Please notice, that this area has undergone major changes in DNN 3.3/4.3
