So currently I am working on a bug with a very old site that uses SolMenu. The site is http://www.toledoseaport.org and what is happening is that in FireFox when you click on a menu option, then click the back button, the menu options disappear. Has anyone experienced this issue before, and if so, is there a workaround/fix for this?

I'd suggest replacing SolPart menu by DDR Menu.

Pretty easy to say, not so easy to do. Any details you can give would be great.
