On an installation with many portals i have an error on only one of these portals from users manager want to access to edit a user.
The error feedback is the following:
Method: DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.UrlUtils.EncryptParameter

Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto. in DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.UrlUtils.EncryptParameter(String value, String encryptionKey) in DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.LinkClick(String Link, Int32 TabID, Int32 ModuleID, Boolean TrackClicks, Boolean ForceDownload, Int32 PortalId, Boolean EnableUrlLanguage, String portalGuid) in DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.LinkClick(String Link, Int32 TabID, Int32 ModuleID, Boolean TrackClicks, Boolean ForceDownload) in DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.LinkClick(String Link, Int32 TabID, Int32 ModuleID) in DotNetNuke.Entities.Tabs.TabInfo.get_FullUrl() in DotNetNuke.Providers.RadEditorProvider.EditorProvider.AddLink(TabInfo objTab, EditorLink& parent) in DotNetNuke.Providers.RadEditorProvider.EditorProvider.AddPortalLinks() in DotNetNuke.Providers.RadEditorProvider.EditorProvider.RadEditor_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() in System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I also made the following tests:

1) Added a new user and saved it, when I try to go to edit the error occurs.
2) I can login with the new user created.
3) On other portals all works.

Do you have any idea what may cause this problem?

Thanks

Claudio

Hello!

 How was the portal that causes troubles created? Did you import template, that you exported from other portal? Which version of DNN are you using? I've already came across with similar problem. Do you have some customization on user roles? Are there some roles that are programatically (custom) added?

 There may be a problem with inconsistent data in the database. That was the reason for my problems.

Hi

think I have solved by the following operation:
1) I corrected a page on the root of the sub-menu that had addressed to the favicon.ico but instead of the first submenu item;
2) I removed in user profile setting the setting  of visibile from Biography field and then reactivated.
I can not explain why but after these operations have resumed operation.
