Today I try upgrade Forum module from 3.20.8 to 4.4.3 in buckuped version DNN 4.9.5.

I delete all files from \desktop modules\forum\providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProviders\

Then put file Forum_04.04.03_Install.resources in \install\module\ ,

login to site as host and in Host->Module Definitions I select Forum(04.04.03) and start Install.

It start again 03.00.00.SqlDataProvider.

Mmmm......Terrible log (I can't post full log here, it is very big):

you would need ANY sqldataprovider file after 3.20.08, not just the last one.
SQL file are incremental changes - and you cannot apply any previous one - though this is usually taken care of by the DNN installer - I have no clue, why it doesn't work in your case.

Sebastian, thank you!
I'll try resolve issue with forum after all.
Now I find new one.
In all version , that I tested (DNN 4.9.5 , 5.4.4, 6.2.9) I find common problem - under host and admin account
I can add new role for user, but can not delete it. When I press delete (X in Edit User Account) nothing happens -
no error mesaages and the role stay at place.

Hello!

I continue upgrade process on my site. Now I can say that it works on 7.3.4.
But 2 issues are not resolved.
1st - I can not delete assigned role in user account.
2nd - (and main for me) - my site work only with forum module ver. 3.20.8
All my attempts to upgrade forum module fails.
I want to ask - is it possible to change DNN forum module to some alternative module and transfer all data from old forum (3.20.8) ?
