Hi,

Have a need where we will create our users accounts but still require them to verify their email address. So I only want login showing BUT still require email verification.

What would be the best way to achieve this? I have registration set to verify but Register appears.

Thanks in advance.

Todd

I'm not sure that you can achieve that scenario, but maybe it's possible. By setting registration type to "Verified" whenever a user registers the system is going to create a verification link then email it to the user. Perhaps you can keep the registration type as verified, create your users (which the system would then send them email verifications), then just "hide" the registration link via jQuery. Also, depending on skin objects used you may be able to simply remove the skin objects for registering. In the past the skin objects for registering and logging in were separated into 2 skin objects, but I think they were combined into one.

Would either of these approaches work... Do you just want the users to not see the "Register" button?

you will need to update the created accounts to match the situation of an unverified user.
You need to check tables Aspnet_users, users and userportals.
