Hi everyone,

I have recently started a new position in which I am attempting to upgrade an outdated Server OS to the latest.  I have run into a wall due to our current web servers running DNN with different versions.  One server runs 04.04.00, another 04.05.04, and 04.09.04.  Each runs on 2003 server.  I have been informed that if we try to move to Server 2012R2, DNN will need to be upgraded in order, and also the web code will need to be modified.  I am not a developer but would greatly appreciate any input on what the upgrade path would be and what it would require from a development side of the house.

End result:  Server migrated from 2003 to 2012R2, and latest DNN installed.

Thanks!

DNN 4 still requires ASP.Net 2 (.Net 3.5.1), with this framework installed, it should run on Server 2012 R2, however for security reasons, you should consider upgrades.
However, that's not as easy from such VERY old versions, you need to perform it in multiple steps. for the early steps, you may follow my upgrade receipt at http://deutschnetnuke.de/AboutDotnetN...hren.aspx
