Hi,

My website is working fine except the table "Exceptions" is large.
I see, that there are only exceptions messages are in this table.
Is it safe to run the following sql command.
TRUNCATE TABLE EXCEPTIONS
This will only empty the table without doing any harm to the website?

Ton,
please read my blog post: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...
the only automated solution I know of is built into TurboDNN.

Dear Sebastian,

Your support over the past years is superior and excellent.

However, installing Tubo is not reversable.
In the past I had enough problems with installed software and after a while they were abonded without any warning.
- Gumbo software
- Apollo localization (seems  to be alive again at this moment?)
- Peppertree news module
and so on.

I can remove modules from my application and no harm is done to the database.
Only lots of work is down to the drain.
However, changes who are not reversable to the database can not be repaired in any way.
This is the reason I do not like to install this software.

If I truncate the exceptions table once a week, then I'am fine.
I only want to know if it is safe to do so, because I do not know if this table is related to other tables.

Regards, Ton

Ton,
the table is related to eventlog. When deleting all items from eventlog, you may truncate exceptions table as well.
otherwise you may just remove orphaned records, while the ones referred in eventlog will remain in the table.
