Hi all,

I'm a developer, i use vs studio 2005 to develop custom modules for dotnetnuke, i've successfully installed dotnetnuke on my development machine, i can browse to it and all my modules work perfectly.

However, when i try to browse to the site from my laptop using http://minimax/dotnetnuke/default.aspx, minimax being the network name of the machine i've installed dnn on, i get a page cannot be displayed. But from the development machine, minimax, when i run dnn with http://localhost/dotnetnuke/default.aspx, it runs perfectly.

Please i'd appreciate anyone telling me what changes i can make so i can browse the dnn site from another system within the same domain / network, because i can do this with asp pages.

I've already added the portal aliases, still doesnt work, i'm thinking maybe it has to do with my internet or lan settings or somethin. cos when i disconnect from the internet, i can browse to d portal alias, but not when i'm connected.

any ideas anyone? i still cant browse my dnn site from another machine on my lan.

p.s i've developed a news ticker module, an extension of the news module,  the news tick according to specified time frame. where can i put it up to share with others? Or has it been developed already? lol.
