Does that mean that Telerik functions will be dropped from the community edition completely in future versions?

David - Yes, that is what my previous comment was referring to. You can update references and recompile for Platform 8, but these will eventually be removed completely from the product so I suggest all third party developers find suitable replacements ASAP.

Just to clarify, while Telerik will be removed from future versions we still plan to offer an installable library package that includes Telerik and the Telerik wrappers so that your modules continue to work.  Having said that, anything we do related to Telerik are just stop-gap measures.  The reality is that we only have a license to ship a much older version of Telerik.  The version we ship has issues with newer versions of IE and Microsoft Edge.  I don't recommend that you do any new development with the versions of Telerik that we ship with DNN and recommend that you migrate any existing modules off of Telerik.
