I'm building a quick and dirty backup and restore script for a user who maintains the site to use when doing major editing of the site. She has a tendency to break stuff. :)

Here's what I think I can do, but I'd like some assurance that this method will work. I'm using batch files to accomplish this. Here's what I think I can do:

Basic menu:
1 Backup
2 Restore

If 1:

delete last backup (if exists)
robocopy dnn folder to backup folder
use sqlcmd to backup database to a file

If 2:
check to make sure last backup exists
robocopy backup folder to dnn folder
use sqlcmd to restore database from file

Can you see any problems with this? Will file permissions be a problem? Is there a good way to test this without screwing up my install? Anything else you can think of that I should know?

That's actually exactly what this is for, is for the installation of modules. I want a way for her to backup before installing a new module or making a major change to one. Three times in the past few months I've had to scramble to fix a broken site because of questionable modules (or more likely questionable users of modules).
