Since there is no "my site is on fire and has burned to the ground" category, I am posting here.  Several months back, my webhost moved my DNN site. It started giving me service unavailable errors and the database was not visible from the control center interface.  I was told that my site was overrunning my IIS app pool allocations. Something to do with the database and site not communicating correctly, as far as I can tell. Their solution was to remove the allocation limits.

This issue started again about two weeks ago, and when I went to move the site the database is empty and I have been told my configuration files are gone.  I cannot get an explanation, darn little help and I have no access to IIS logs or any other tools.  I am using SSMS to access the database and it it empty.  Same thing when accessing through their graphical tool and also when I export a BAK file and import it locally, all empty.  If anyone here has had this issue or can help me figure out what is going on, that would much appreciated.

Beth,
this seem to be a hosting issue, which is not related to DNN itself. ASK your hosting provider for a working backup and to setup the site properly again.
You will need your files and your database restored for your website to be working again, otherwise you will need to restart from ground.

Cheers from Germany,

I am sure it is a hosting problem. I am checking to see if I missed something. They are barely responsive on this issue. I did get a full restore, but the furthest they could go back was two weeks and that is not far enough. I had to argue with them for two weeks about the fact that they need to help me address this issue.  I even downloaded the BAK file and imported it locally to just see the tables, nothing. My webconfig files supposedly vanished, along with my database.  In all my years of using DNN I have never encountered this issue and I thought I would check to see if there was some known problem making the rounds. Otherwise, yes, I do believe my web host has failed me. I am a data analyst by day, so I am pretty sure I did not just go in and destroy my site by accident, which is the attitude I have been getting from this web host. At this point, I wish I could just retrieve my data and files to rebuild elsewhere.

Thanks for your help.
