Hi,

I currently look after a DNN 6.1.3 website hosted in the UK by pipeten and I recently started getting notifications to say my database was near limit.

I initially sorted this by clearing the event log. I have now found that users are being created by a bot and over the last year over 30,000 users were created. (I've now stopped the users being created by setting a required custom property with a validation expression so there is only one answer.

Now all I need to do is start to delete all the users, to do this I've managed to unregister all users that haven't logged on in the last 6 months and am trying to delete all unauthorized users through the portal.

I can do this user by user, but when I select "delete unauthorized users" from the menu, the website just shows waiting for response and nothing happens!

What would be the best way to delete  all unauthorized users?

Thank you for your link.

I have now soft deleted a selection of users through an SQL script. I was unable to fully delete the users using "remove deleted users" though as the page still times out!

To get around this I have created an exe program that deletes the records one line at a time. once logged onto my site I go to admin/users, select deleted users and then hover the mouse over the red  X for the first line. The program then just keeps looping through left mouse click, enter and then waits 10 seconds (it takes over 2 hours to delete 500 users).
