@David - we can certainly make the default setting, but did it work in your email template - the original issue that you reported?

Ash,

No, the profile image did not display in either Thunderbird or GMail until I  set added the AllowStandAlone=true in my web.config. Once I added that, it displayed properly.

Thanks @David - We did test this issue, though there is code to ignore this check when request is originating from local. Anyways, we've fixed this via Pull Request: https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl.... The setting AllowStandAlone will be True in 8.0.1

Sometimes, what happens that the image which is not getting the load or not being displayed, the image is broken and that is why the issue happens. There are two options that the sender has to make sure that the image is not broken or you have to make the template according to the image loader. If the user is using Windows system, then the process of the windows modules installer worker high cpu will be helpful.
