I'm unable to logon to my websites with the host user. I had the password saved (and I have a copy of the website on my local pc that works).

I used http://twentytech.net/dotnetnuke/recover-your-dotnetnuke-host-password/ to recover the host password, and it returns the value I thought it should.

So I selected one of my admin users, and changed the superuser flag in the sql table to on, and was then able to logon with that.

I went and had dinner, came back and now can't logon with this new superuser.

I'm suspicious its some sort of attack or exploitation that is preventing the logon to work.

I'm running DNN 7.4.2

please check the user account and eventlog in DNN for any issues logged, maybe the account is just locked due to too many login attempts.

That's definitely not the problem. I checked the field in the SQL table.

its tricky to check that stuff when you can't logon!

the weird thing is that I was able to make another user an admin user, but then that user became unable to login.

Did you check both, users and aspnet-membership tables?

Have you been able to resolve this?

I've had the same issue.

My host user can't logon.

I then find another user and make that the host user by hacking the SQL table, and then I can logon with that user.

Then after a while it stops and I have to do it again. The last user I was using worked for over 3 months.

This is really weird. I've not made any changes, although when this happened and I then logged onto my VPS, I needed to restart due to Microsoft Updates.
