Hello there

We have made a costume register form on top of DNN 7.x  , now I am testing to upgrade to  DNN 8.0 and it seems DotNetNuke.Modules.Dashboard.Components.Portals is not available anymore I get this error

Could Not Load Theme: /Portals/_default/Skins/xxx/Home _Logged In.ascx, Error: c:\Websites\SpeakifyDev\Portals\_default\Skins\Speakify2\controls\Register.ascx.cs(43): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Dashboard' does not exist in the namespace 'DotNetNuke.Modules' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

We need this assembly when we are checking password strength

if (Host.EnableStrengthMeter)

So how we supped to do it in DNN 8 ?

Why is your registration form dependent on the Dashboard?  You should use the core usercontroller classes instead of the classes from the dashboard.  As for namespaces, the Dashboard module is now in the Dnn.Modules namespace.

Thanks Joe,

Honestly why it deponent on Dashboard I don't have a good answer for. We coped from the DNN native registration form and as long as it worked we didn't bother to dive deep into it.

I try to look into core userclasses and see if I find something.

It was before under DotNetNuke.Modules.Dashboard is it like   DotNetNuke.Modules is now called Dnn.Modules ?
