The beauty of DNN is that it can be used for anything that you wish! Perfect for an external marketing website, or internal applications.

As for standard web site that only shows info like blogs forums etc.. i saw DNN has a very good basic options which gives the developers a good starting point no need to design\handle object relations as well as  the need to design & create db and to reference each object to a table, but as for internal app there are tasks and salary calculation per employee\managers,salary bonuses,employees clock for entering\exit time and more.. so does the developer needs to design and handle all the objects relations and db tables to objects relationships? in other words   how DNN gives a starting point for this kind of app  ?
