I have a dnn site that is running 07.04.00  (IIS 7) with the active directory module (v.5.0.6) and the auto login works fine. I created a new DNN site with 8.0.0 and the same module, and auto login is not working. It does look like the main DNN8 authentication module has changed. The IIS windows authentication settings are the same as the 7.4 site. Any suggestions?

Hi Robert,

You can take a look at AD-Pro Authentication v3, but it's commercial extension.

One of the things I like about DNN is that is free and you can write your own modules. I dont care to purchase a add to get AD auth to work but there is 0 information on how to create one for dnn 8. I'll keep plugging away at it until I figure it out, I always do...

I am not aware of a general change in this area, planned extensions have been rescheduled. However, it is possible, that planned changes affected integration of existing providers. please make sure to report the error in the public issue tracker at support.dnnsoftware.com, thank you.

I downloaded the trial and installed it, but still having issues with auto login. The connection string is connected to my ad groups and is returning data and I mapped the groups to dnn roles, but still not auto logging in. perhaps my settings are off.
