I've moved my installation from one machine to another, and everything is working perfectly - except notifications. Previously, when a user registered, I would get a notification in the notifications area which I could interact with. Now, there are no notifications. The users can still sign up, but there is no notification. Also, I use a blog enging (EasyDNNNews) which works with the notification system, and there are no notifications generated that way, either (which did work before the move). When I look at the CoreMessaging_Messages table, I can see that there are no notifications after the move date. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem?

I would start by checking your SMTP settings, did you change settings for the new server? Were you using a Local SMTP server before?

The SMTP settings are fine. I get the test email without problems, and modules which use SMTP but not the notifications system work fine. Only the notifications are broken. It's not an SMTP problem - it's a problem with the actual notifications system.

Anything in the "Event Viewer" about sending of messages?

In the event viewer, I don't see anything specific to messages or notifications, but do I see a log type of "New User" which shows the user information. Immediately afterward, I see a Module Load Exception with the following:
