Hi,

I have got a problem with my development. Here is the situation:

I have created a role "Private User" and  a Tab "Private Tab" that is visible to "Private User" only. When a registered user logs in and click on a button in my custom module, he gets assigned to role "Private User". Till now everything is functioning, role has been added to user in database but problem is that "Private Tab" is still not shown to the user.

If user logout and login again, "Private Tab" is shown to him.

There should be a simple way for this because DNN does the same thing when a user registers for the first time, just immediately after that he is able to see all the tabs visible to "Rregistered Users".

Any ideas?

Thakns.

Ateek,

try this, I solved similar situation with this tiny code:

Response.Cookies["portalroles"].Value = null;

Response.Cookies["portalroles"].Path = "/";

Response.Cookies["portalroles"].Expires = DateTime.Now.AddYears(-30);

Hope this helps you.
