I've tried a completely polite answer but was ignored by "the system" xD.

Sebastian, I guess that was where I am wrong, do you mean Windows User account or SQL User account?

Victor, I will try that.

Chris, You are everywhere! I am running a local SQL server since I quick from Azure (due to I was unable to update DNN 7.4 to 8.0).

Thank you all for the answers.

The previous post should be deleted, not sure how to do it from my side.

Anyway, I was able to add dnndev.me to the folder security in C:\websites\dnndev.me with "Modify" permissions but still I am getting the same error "SQL login failed" on installation.

you need a SQL Server user, you are specifying "dnndev.me" for it, but it needs to be created as SQL Server login and be granted dbowner permission for your new (blank) database.

Cheers from Germany,

As I told in the first post, I already created a "New SQL Login" with user dnndev.me and mapped it to the database as db_owner. I think it has something to do with the Application Pool. Thank you anyway

Thank you very much for your help.

I could make it work by changing the SQL Server auth mode to "Windows Authentication and SQL Server" (my mistake).

 Thanks again!
