Ok first - I love DNN.  Running several sites on it.  Awesome stuff guys.  I've been running it for about four or five months now, and other than a few minor issues (mostly me figuring out how the heck it works) it has been flawless.

With that in mind, I have seen exactly ONE thing that I think is missing from DNN - and maybe it isn't and I've just missed a module or something - dunno...

Is there going to be robust support for WebDav at any point in the future? 'cause that is the ONLY reason I don't move my existing intranet from sharepoint to dnn.  Proposals, docs, etc - edited in word direct from the web and saved back to the web without having to download->edit->upload.  I realize IIS includes some webdav internally - but in my experience it has been pretty crappy, and sps does a pretty decent job of it.  Thats literally the ONLY site currently running on sps.  Everything else - from customer sites to a community/organization site for a group of which I'm a member - all moved to DNN.

Thanks in advance,

Chavous

WebDAV would be really cool. I was in the same situation one year before and searched a lot. Document management inside DNN is really basic, it is every where the same download->edit->upload procedure as you have described.

The current releases of documents and UDT provides some more facilities regarding list management, you could use them to store meta data together with a document. Peter Donkers DMX module provides folders and versioning of documents though it lacks webDAV functinality too.

AFAIK WebDAV support is not planned for DotNetNuke. And I don't know of any third party solution. If anybody knews better I would be happy to be wrong.
