1. Form and list module: it seems that is a module for email listing? what else can it do?

2. List module: what is it?

3. ContenList module: what is it?

4. Module creator: After I add a module, it just show a field and "save" button. I enter something and click save, it just goes to homepage. what is this module for?

1. Form and List allows to create custom lists or forms (e.g. for feedback, contact addresses, ....)
2. List module is an Admin module to manage (usually predefined) Host and Site lists, e.g. countries, banned words etc.
3. ContentList was used to display search results based on tags associated with the items.
4. ModuleCreator should allow you to create easy custom module, I suggest reading the Wiki for details.
