As for documentation and tutorials, I'd guess that 95% of what exists is correct and directly applicable to DNN 8. The other 5% is mostly correct and applicable. (My made up numbers, but I'd bet that they aren't far off.)

You'll find several good blog posts (written around the time that DNN 8 was released) that describe the major changes.

DNNHero.com (a subscription site) has about 7 hours of video tutorials on DNN 7.4 and DNN 8. If I recall correctly, the DNN 8 essentially updates the DNN 7.4 tutorials to DNN 8. I recommend these.

And, if you keep your eyes open, there is a growling set of blogs and videos on the coming DNN 9.
