sorry, but as far as I can see, the Discussions module is not contained in 4.3.2 starter kit.

Well leupold - we are both right. The initial installation doesn't contain any discussion module, but if you as host run through the Wizard under Common Tasks, you find a choise of different templates where the discussion module appere.

Thank you Tomas for pointing to this leftover from previous setups, I will add it to the DNN issue tracker, so it gets removed.

leupold, I guess you could suggest that they go through the hole kit, cause I found instability in different functions in the kit. For example the log in doesn’t act stable. Repeatedly I have tried to log in, but the log in function doesn’t respond.

I also think the starter kit seems a little odd since it for instance doesn’t have possibility for groping users in different roles. I’m not familiar yet with ASP, but does the starter kit take advantage in ASP2?

Cheers / Tomas

Tomas,

Starter Kit is only a special build (available for ASP.Net 2.0 only), login and user management are features of DNN in general, that currently does not use ASP.Net 2.0 specific features, so DNN3 and DNN4 codebases can be kept in synch. You can add users to roles (groups) or roles to users.
