Hi -

I used to be quite a power-user of DNN with many installations under my belt.  I haven't been active with the platform for some years but just installed 8.0.  When I look under Host\Extensions I don't see any of the "common" modules except HTML.  I'm missing most of the ones that used to install as part of DNN including Vendors, Banners, File Manager, Site Log, Newsletters, Search Input, Feed Explorer, WhatsNew, etc.

Are these a separate install (if so, where do I find it) or did I fail to check a box during the installation?

Thanks

you need to download and install the modules as you need.
The formerly included modules are listed to the right of http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com, also have a look into the store and the forge.

I'm the same as you ... haven't been active with it for some years, but I sure do love it. I'm planning to use DNN for both my community and personal ventures, so this should be fun. I chose a blank template during installation ... I didn't want to have to get rid of starter content; just wanted to get my site up and create the perfect one with as little overhead as possible.

Thank you Sebastian. I'll take a look and download what I need.

I must say that removing the basic modules from the basic download seems like a dumb decision on DNN's part. Why would you make it more difficult for people to install and use your system?

I agree, but that decision was made by DNN Corp.
