Well ... I just had a pure idiot moment this morning, and I can't seem to log into the host (the only account on the site in DNN 8, apparently, I was not asked to create any others), and so now I need a way to recover it without an email server available in order to create a new user. Could I just, by any chance edit the entry for the "Host' user in the database directly? I figure that would work, but I don't want to muck around in areas where I don't need to. Any assistance in this would be great.

Wouldn't it be simpler for you to google it out?

I did: here's the query

Greg,
my solution requires database access. I remember another DNN expert created a recovery file, you needed to place in the root folder of the DNN website to regain access, however, I am not sure, whether this still exists.
