Where can I learn about module versioning for DNN? We have a helpdesk and want to modify it, however it does not include versioning abilities, so we would need to uninstall(losing all data in the help desk) and reinstall.  Obviously we would like to make additions to it with out having to back up SQL data to upgrade, then restore. I've been digging around and cant seem to find it in documentation. Any links to the documentation are helpful documentation would be great! Can anyone help??

No one has any info on this? The only things I have found are really obscure. This info must be some place.

Is this a purchased module? You didn't tell us what module it is - so asking for links is unlikely to produce success.

There are some common practices used in commercial modules; and no guarantee that they are always followed.

If it's a home brewed solution, or created bespoke for you by some developer or development team then you would have to ask the developers what they planned for or allowed for.

Best wishes,
