On Windows Server 2012 R2, I have MS SQL Server 2012 w/SP3 installed. All protocols are enabled for both the SQL instance (MSSQLSERVER) and the SQL Server Native Client (11).

MSSQL is installed using mixed-mode auth, and I verified that I can connect and manage the engine with the SQL management studio using both the Windows authentication and the SA account.

When I run the Platform Installer, select the DNN platform and pick install, my only option for install is to download, install and use SQL Express. SQL is not in the drop-down selector at the beginning of the process.

Is there something I can do to use the platform installer, or should I proceed with the manual method?

Jeff,

Clint is right. This should be a breeze for nvQuickSite. Give it a whirl and please let us know how it goes. We are actively working the app on GitHub, http://github.com/nvisionative/nvQuic..., so feel free to post any issues, questions or suggestions there.
