Hi

Does anyone know of a good module i can use for property listings (real estate)?

I need to build a site for a client where they showcase property listings for renting.

At the moment they only do property rentals but ideally the module would be able to do renting and selling so that if they change their offering to selling as well, the module could still be used for both.

Any input would be greatly appreciated :-)

Thanks!

if it needs to be flexible, have a look at propertyAgent from www.ventrian.com

Ventrian has the propertyagent module which has a template for properties, but that module isn't maintained anymore. An second choice could Action Grid/Action Form from DNNSHARP. That modules can handle everything, if you need help or someone need to build it for you, just give me a call.

Thanks.

The Ventrian Site does not really give any demo sites of how it looks or works?

Also should i be concerned that it is no longer supported?

I found another Module on the DNN sotre - Real Estate 7.5 by Dotnetjedi.com (updated 5/6/2015) - anyone know much about it?

Cant believe there aren't more modules like this?

Thanks

I used both Ventrian PropertyAgent and Dotnetjedi. Ventrian's very good and flexible although there were limitations with URL customisation and meta-data for SEO. I speak in the past because unfortunately it's no longer a choice.
Dotnetjedi is ok, but not flexible enough, can't really customise/design it the way you'd do it with Ventrian's. It's not localizable either.

I used Form and List for simpler things, but it stores data in xml fields, not easy to 'patch' when in need. Not easily localizable either, not found ways to define meta-data (mainly meta-titles for product pages). Hard to use with the xslt stuff, but if you know that you can go quite far.

I agree with you that it's a scandal that there aren't many modules like that around here. Every time I need something more than a static page I naturally look for a templatable solution. Out of desperation I even used nb_store v2 (without the shopping cart), but it's an overkill for that. And custom fields in xml format.

One should look at 2sxc, I guess. I had not find the time to learn it, though.
