I've been an active DNN user for 10 years and have purchased or assisted others in purchasing numerous modules and skins from Snowcovered / DNNStore.  I maintain a number of email accounts associated with various DNNStore accounts.

In the past six months or so I have begun to receive regular spam on a daily basis from every DNNStore account-related email I maintain.  Some of those email addresses were created expressly for a DNNStore account and have not been used/published elsewhere.  It is also notable that I have been receiving these particular spam emails only from my DNNStore-related account emails, not any of the other myriad email accounts I manage.

Today's spam email was for kids summer camps in the Orlando area.  Recent spam emails were for Ford Motor Company promotions and interior decorating offers.  Each of my DNNStore account emails received the same spam/content but with a different "sender" address.  In every case the "sender" was "Will" such as will@nmhnw.com (domain registered in Germany) or will@orlando-website-solutions.com (registered in Germany) and will@polimenigroup.com (also registered in Germany).  "Will in Orlando" immediately brings to mind long-time DNN persona Will Strohl and ODUG (Orlando DNN User Group) but Will hasn't operated out of  Orlando since around 2010.

I assume that there has been a breach of an email address book of either the DNNStore or one of the 3rd party module providers I tend to purchase from across multiple DNNStore accounts.  There are only a couple of module authors that fit that category for me so I'm now trying to determine which is the most likely source of this apparent breach.

QUESTION:

Has anyone else noticed recent uptick of spam to email addresses that are ONLY used for DNNStore accounts?  If so, would you mind sharing a list of modules purchased with those accounts to help me identify a common thread and track down the source of this apparent information breach that has exposed my DNNStore account email addresses to spammers?
