Hey - Does anyone know if a DNN site can be deployed without the source vb files?  When I try, I get slammed with errors.  If they are needed, why?  Thanks.

Sure, you can deploy DNN without *.vb files.

To install DNN without source code you can do the following:

  1. Download DNN install package from this address http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx.
  2. Unpack it to the virtual directory.
  3. Modify web.config as described in installation guide.
  4. Set file access as described in installation guide.
Let my know if you still have any questions.

DNN4.x will still need the ascx.vb files.
