I am developing a DNN module in Visual Studio that makes calls to an external database and am getting this error:

No connection string named 'ImportedEntities' could be found in the application config file.

Where does the connection string need to go within the DNN framework?  I have tried several places including the Web.config files of the root of the DNN website, the portal and bin folder.  But no luck.   Can someone please get me on the right track!

Never mind. I am getting crossed eyed looking at this stuff too long. The root of the DNN website was correct. Just a typo in the connection string.

connectionStrings section in the root web.config.

DO NOT create a new section. Add yours to the one(s) that is(are) already there.

Best wishes,
