We are having problems with the CKEditor in DNN 8(.0.3). Mainly that if you select some text, and then choose a style or something the amount of text that gets formarted are NOT the same as the text you selected.

So if you have a text like:

"This is my text that isn't working in CKEditor"

and the select the CKEditor part and then choose a style for it, the whole text will get marked with that style. This doesn't seem to cause trouble all the time and sometimes part of the text in the editor is working as it should when selected and applied a format to, while other parts don't.

Whats going on? Is there a solution to this or perhaps an editor that actually work? For me as a developer, this is easy to fix, but for our average users, this is a deal breaker when you can't just select some text and apply H1 formatting to it or similar.

this sounds very strange to me and might be caused by the font applied to the content, however, it seems not to be a DNN issue, but a provider issue, which might better be discussed at http://ckeditor.com
