Hello,

we are developing a portal on DNN where we have enabled login with SocialNetworks,

We want to avoid the confusion that a user could logon trough diferente means, and then having two users accounts on the system. (for us it is not a feature, it is a design failure)

Therefore we will enforce the usage of email as unique identification of the user (so for twitter we actively ask for the user email after login)

and if the new user account email already exist, MAKE SOMETHING

what is this "make something" ?

it could be user merge, but it seems difficult (and not in scope)
http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/threadid/298499/scope/posts/merge-users

it could be done a "user redirection" (system identify one user-account as primary, and login automatically on this other user-account)

WHAT DO YOU THINK?, guys

we can not found a similar case on DNN already resolved (and sadly, most of the online platforms already does not care about this case)

if there exist previous post at this respect, sorry I have been not able to find them.

Br.
