Where do I find the password for SuperUser?

I am trying to install a new DotNetNuke 06.02.05 and it is asking me to upgrade to 08.00.03 which requires SuperUser and password whihc I have not created yet but the database I have is restored from production which does have a SuperUser in the database's Users table.

passwords are stored in aspnet_membership table, they are usually encrypted or hashed.

If you don't know host password, then you can update the host password in membership table. But as its encrypted, you can not directly update. Workaround way is :

1) Register a new user (with some username and password)

2) Now you have password and password salt value in membership table. Copy those and update in host user values.

3) Now you can login to host account with the password of user you created (as you updated the encrypted password of known user/pwd).

4) Post you login, you can change host password and now you know your password :)

you will have to use aspnet_users and aspnet_membership tables. from aspnet_users you can get userid which will be used in aspnet_membership table to update password.

Thanks,

Varun
