I've checked the properties of the downloaded zip file and it's not blocked.

I've got exactly the same problem updating from 7.4.2 to 8.0.3 on a website running on Azure. I've tried multiple things:

  • Updating to 8.0.0 instead of 8.0.3.
  • Creating a copy of the website on a local server and updating locally.
  • Updating without the Google Analytics module (it fails on the next module).

I've updated multiple website (Azure and other hosts) to 8.0.3 without problems, so it seems to be a problem in this specific installation of DNN.

Any other solutions I could try?

did you configure Google Analytics prior to the upgrade or didn't you use it?

I've tried to unlock the package but the problem still remains.

We don't use Google Analyitics so I removed it before running the upgrade again. The upgrade now completes without any errors - but now the site doesn't work! :-(
