I have a sports website that I'm converting to DNN.  The site that allows payments.  I have my own paypal settings, but I noticed the payment settings inside the site settings.  I have a few questions:

Should i use my own settings or should i use the dnn payment settings?

If I use DNN payment settings, can you point me to documentation and/or examples?

My current code uses the PayPal email to make payments.  The payment settings uses userid/password.  If I use DNN settings, how do i use the account email?

The paypal provider in DNN will soon be deprecated. I would search for another solution. From what CMS are you moving to DNN?

I use Dynamic Forms (Data Springs) to do yacht race entry and payment.
It does normal PayPal with completion events and can do PayPal Pro too.
Dynamic Forms is not the cheapest but it is mature and lets you do lots of useful things such as deal with differing entry requirements.
We also use Dynamic Views to provide automatic entry lists based form submission.
