Hi all.
Have never seen this before in my life. It's driving me insane, and I'm wondering whether anyone has any insight on it? I logged into my site (http://cambridgeport90.net) as host to modify some module settings. Though I never got the opportunity to do that, since I've got this weird dialog window that keeps popping up with an internal server error message, yet there is no 500 error code shown on the page. Not to mention, this makes troubleshooting difficult ... I can't see either the error code or the stack trace. So, I'll be trying to do something, and then in both Internet Explorer and Firefox (latest versions of each,) interrupting my workflow will be this error message saying "internal server error" with nothing before it or after or inside it. I'll take a look at logs, but nothing on the service looks odd. Could it have anything to do with the database and web server being on the same virtual machine?

Did you check in Portals\_default\Logs? And on the servers event log?

Not a thing. My contact who's into web development and administration tells me he sees a JavaScript dialog box coming up ... that it's not a real error message. I tend to believe him ... I see nothing remotely like an error code in either the IIS logs or the DNN event viewer, and the errors I do see are valid errors; certain applications I have tied to this domain looking for now nonexistent RSS links, for instance. This just began yesterday after I gave my host machine (server is a virtual machine hosted on Hyper-V) a hard restart. Wasn't happening prior to that, and doesn't happen on any other site I have.

Check the event log on the web server not the DNN log. You may also want to check out this link:

I would remove the modules on the home page, one at a time, to see if one of them is causing the problem.  Since it's not likely to be the HTML module, I'd try Twitter first.
