We need to store a JPEG photo of the User in the DotNetNuke 4.3.2 Profile.

Can this be done with the current Profile custom fields so that the image data is stored in the SQL database (images are only 6KB each)?

You would have to create a custom data type (which lives in the Lists table of the core). This custom data type would more than likely have to reference an assembly, class with your logic to handle such things. When doing this you are getting into things w/ the lifecycle of hte page and you can find yourself scratching your head wondering why something isn't working. The short answer to your question is this is possible, but probably not very easy to do as is. No matter what you need to find a way to get the image from the user to the server which requires some upload mechanism.

Well, once DNN returns to mobile browsers....one could simply use their smartphone's camera to take & upload the pic...

Hi ps30... we are working on basing the UserProfile module off the core profile, but for now it has a User Profile photo if you have not seen it...

Where would I find this UserProfile module?  This would really help!

Thanks!
