Thanks for the information.  Has this been superceded by a different module?  It works beautifully for our purposes.  For now.  Even in DNN 8.

DNN Store was one of the 'core modules' that were included with any install of DNN. It is aimed at being very simple, stable and a good basis for developpers who want to extend its functionalities. The design is very flexible. It was also supposed to expose 'good practices' or what was considered so at that time.

So while it is still a good choice for simple needs, you may prefer nbstore which is more powerfull.

If there is a professionnal need for support or extra development with DNN Store I suppose that Gilles le Pigocher might help on a reasonable paid basis, but as far as we know there are no issues with DNN Store and it requires little maintenance.
I know that Gilles still develops payment or shipping providers occasionally.

Hi JoAnn,

You can modify/adapt static resources in the Store module like with any other module as specified in the wiki.

Most of resources are inside: \DesktopModules\Store\App_LocalResources

Because the Store module is build on the provider model to extend parts of the module like Address, Gateway (for payments), Shipping and Taxe, those resources files are located in the corresponding provider folder. As a sample, you search for AN ADDRESSS control at checkout then the resource is inside: \DesktopModules\Store\Providers\AddressProviders\DefaultAddressProvider\App_LocalResources and the control's resources file is StoreAddress.ascx.resx

Again, because the interface is build of several modules, you can found part of the resources from one screen inside several different controls. As a sample the checkout is made of TWO addresses and ONE address checkout control containing the two adresses. Then some resources are inside the StoreAddress.ascx.resx file and some other are inside the DefaultAddressCheckout.ascx.resx file, both files are in the same folder of the address provider.

Regards,

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thank you!  I don't know why I didn't get the notification for this.  That is exactly what I needed.  I thought I had done this in an earlier version but didn't recall needing to change a class file.  Everything is in order now.  Thanks again!

JoAnn

And thanks for the link to the wiki.  I didn't know that even existed.
