This is Firefox.  I also see the one line reply box.

So FF and Chrome seem identical to me.

If you're seeing one line box then the editor has issues with some browsers. Looks like we're stuck with this editor if it continues to use the custom Telerik editor.

I've heard that there will be soon more advanced forums on www.dnn-connect.org (replacing the current old AF instance)

The Chrome problem is that you have to type inside the box with the blue border. If you click outside of it, the border or the box disappears and there's no cursor to type. If if the content area is expanded, click on the top part until the box with the blue border shows up and type inside it. Not sure what all this is about.

I also wonder why not use one of the better full fledged, non DNN module based, asp.net forum software or a hosted dedicated forum app like Discourse and put it inside an Iframe inside the DNN page. I don't see why it needs to be a DNN forum module since none of the open source ones are being actively maintained. Forum software doesn't need to be updated all the time. The principle of posting a message hasn't changed in years.
