I'm a newbie to DNN. After installing DNN 4.3.2, I accessed the page http://localhost/DotNetNuke/default.aspx, and the "My Website > Home (DNN 4.3.2)" page loaded ok.

However all I see on the menu bar is "Home" and "Search". There is no "Admin" menu item and I don't see any Control Panel on the top. I am able to register a user and login using that user, but that's about all I can do.

Which page should I be accessing to see the Control Panel or access Admin user rights so I can start creating my website?

Please help! I can't find any instructions in the manuals on what to do next after installation, as all the instructions all assume that I can already access the Control Panel. Thanks much in advance.

Btw, I'm running DNN on my W2K Pro desktop. I'm using SQL 2005 Express database.

Did you see instructions on the home page which include the admin and host login information?  You can simply log in with the default accounts, which typically are displayed on that home page:  admin / dnnadmin and host / dnnhost.  The components you are asking about will display when you log in with either of those accounts.
