I moved our DNN 4 site to a new server (Server 2008) and the drop down menus are not working. The top level menu item appears, but there are no submenu items. Hovering over teh menu item shows servername/#.  When I run dev tools in IE, I see that the menu scripts are undefined. I don't see any menu.js in the js folder, so I assume the menu code is generated.

I have tested this in Chrome and Edge.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

most likely, you are using a menu which is no longer supported. check out the wiki how to migrate to DNN default DDR menu.

Thank you for responding, Sebastian.

The only things that have changed are IIS and the Server OS, so I'm not sure why it would be failing since the same DNN site runs on our old server (2003) and works fine when viewed in modern browsers.

this sounds like a missing component or different configuration.
Is your IIS application pool running the same version of ASP.Net?

That must be it. The new server is running ASP.NET 4.

So, am I left with the option of either upgrading DNN or can I install ASP.NET 2 and run the site on that?
