I have not. You should be able to do that by adding the detail content to Open Content too, then render it on click.
But IMO for SEO reasons a separate details page is mostly better, but it depends on the use case obviously.

I have recently made site with a skin that should be able to achieve this as well, also with the help of OpenContent: http://www.kinderei.eu

 Yes this skin looks good, although I managed to contact MDBootsrap by mistake even though it was a link to their website (I thought it was DNNmdesign) and they claim this code was ripped off them and I should not use as it is illegal??, what is your take on this

 Is there any documention for using open content genrally, I download open content from Git hub and I cannot see much apart from the get started video. I tried the massonry template and although it worked I could not see anywhere to add a link to an image or to specify how many columns.
