From Dashboard
XML/XSL    04.03.05    2

From Modules
XML/XSL        This module queries XML Data from a file or an http request, transforms the XML data using an XSL transformation and returns the result back to the user.    4.3.5    No

So, am I using this module or not? What is the difference between instances and in use?

The modules(extensions) also says I am not using DDR menu but I know I am
DDR Menu        DotNetNuke navigation provider.    2.0.2    No

How do we  know which modules we can safely delete before upgrading???

this sounds weird that Dashboard finds instances of XML module. please check recycle bin.

You are using DDR skin object, however, you shouldn't delete the module either.

The recycle bin is empty. Once a week I delete pages and modules.
Logged onto SQL server, there is 1 table called xml parameters but it is totally blank. No records. None. Zero.

Are you sure DDR menu uses XML? There is no prerequisite listed for DDR menu. Yes mine uses xslt, not tokens. Are the menus stored in db, file system or generated on the fly?
