Hello,

Any experienced developers/companies want to share feedback about DNN9 and DNN in general. I used DNN heavily some time ago and I used to enjoy product from companies like - Active modules, ventrian, ifinity. In combination of these I was able to build almost anything and SEO friendly.

Now I see all these 3 companies are dead. Will and Bruce works for DNN so DNN pro versions got better but wanted to know how is it for the community edition. Is DNN a good option to deliver  robust solution with community edition.

For example I do not see any working forums, good help desk for DNN anymore, not even paid version like there used to like from active modules which got bought.

Also is this not a mistake from DNN to buy all good companies who keep the community editions alive and vibrant.

I am wondering what other DNN experts think and planning for future? What other products you all are exploring if not DNN for 2017 that has a good marketplace.

Mist of Ifinity modules were integrated in DNN Platform Advanced URLs component, you may need to install X3 Url Management Module to access all the settings (http://dnnurlmanagement.codeplex.com). on Github, there is a working version of Active Forums for DNN 7 and 8. There are also a number of other 3rd party modules, free or commercial, i.e. DNN is still a great platform to build commercial solutions. Evoq adds a couple of modules by DNN Corp as well as support from the manufacturer, if your clients prefer.
