Probably should have mentioned I did that already, the only two aliases are the domain and www+domain. Neither has anything before or after it, such as the trailing slash. In the portal alias settings I'm using Canonical mapping mode, auto add aliases, though I've tried every other variation of these settings as well.

I've also tried setting a blank page as the homepage to ensure there's no redirects on modules or the page itself.

If I can't get this working by Monday I'll probably be rebuilding the site from scratch, which isn't ideal but the site was pretty ugly to begin with anyway. Still, I have 70 other DNN sites I'm hosting and if this happens again I'd rather know how to fix it.

Appreciate the help, as any browser of this forum knows when your face shows up issues get resolved more often than not, so hoping you find time to toss out a couple more ideas by then. Truly thankful for your input.

I don't know what would be generating a 302 error all of a sudden. Do portal aliases use 302s or simply forward the browser the the location?

are you using multiple languages?
which redirect method did you choose for portal alias in Admin > Site Settings?

Only one language. Do you mean the sitealias mapping mode? It is the only thing I see on the site settings that mentions anything about redirection. That is set to canonical.
