I never did find a fix for this, FYI. I took it as an opportunity to upgrade to a newer version of DNN (fresh install, manually moved pages over). Good luck!

Leslie, we did find a fix for it, but it has been so long ago that I can't remember the details. We - https://www.nvisionative.com - can certainly help with it though if you need a second set of eyes on it. We figured it out before, so I'm sure we can figure it out again. :)

Hi Guys,

My issue is that we have a core install customized they way we want (our own modules, pages, etc.) that we use for all our sites. Normally we would restore the DB, copy the install folder and setup a new IIS site/pool. A quick edit of the web.config for the new DB connection, edit the portal alias table with the new binding and away we go.

What happens is the login page for some reason has 404 redirects to /Account/Login you can see here http://sitealias.schoolwise.ie/ and does not display properly. I have even tried an existing install, backed its DB and files, restored as new and tried changing its alias and get the same issue. Tried everything we could think of at this stage and cannot find much else on the forums.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Its 7.4.2
